The Westchester Dreamcoats are a professionally trained children’s performance choir. The choir consists of thirty-five youngsters ages ten through seventeen, from New York City, Westchester, Putnam and Rockland Counties. The group was formed in 1994 after a successful run on Broadway in Andrew Lloyd Webber’s Joseph and the Amazing Technicolor Dreamcoat. Musical directors, theater directors and choreographers from the metropolitan area give Master Classes and instruction to these talented children. The Dreamcoats contribute much of their time and talent raising money for charitable organizations including The American Red Cross, The United Way, The Make A Wish Foundation, Friends of Karen, and The Lord’s Pantry. Past performances include The Westchester Broadway Theatre, Giants Stadium, The United Nations, Westchester County Center, WNYC Radio, The Ronald McDonald House, Westchester Children’s Hospital, Westchester Country Club and Jenna’s Dream Benefit Concert.
